This page displays graphs from the OSI SAF Sea Ice Index v2p2: the sea-ice extent time-series plots on this page are all based on our Sea Ice Concentration v3 (climate and near-real-time) data.
The high latitude radiative flux products developed at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute contains shortwave (SSI) and longwave (DLI) irradiance received at the surface. The Ocean and Sea Ice SAF radiative flux products are currently produced at 5km spatial resolution once daily. Input data are AVHRR and VIIRS data from NOAA POES and Eumetsat Polar System (EPS).
The level-2 sea ice concentration product (OSI-410-a)
The level 2 sea ice concentration product is a swath based product and is complementary to the level 3 SSMIS sea ice concentration (OSI-401-d) and the level 3 AMSR-2 sea ice concentration (OSI-408-a) products. All the products are near-real-time, operational and freely available, as all the products in the Ocean and Sea Ice Satellite Application Facility's (OSI SAF's) product portfolio. The product utilises the AMSR-2 and SSMIS satellite microwave radiometer data.
The AMSR-2 sea ice concentration product (OSI-408-a)
The AMSR-2 sea ice concentration product (OSI-408-a) is complementary to the SSMIS global sea ice concentration product (OSI-401-d).The product utilises the AMSR-2 satellite microwave radiometer data.
